    Man purchased Google.com in $12 and rewarded by Google

    The man who bought the domain Google.com recently has been accolade with the cash reward by the search giant. On 29 September, the US student Sanmay Ved bought the right to control the domain Google.com as the administration oversight the fact. The administration let him become the in charge of Google.com for one minute till Google fixed it and cancelled the transaction. After this instance, Mr. Sanmay Ved was given a cash reward for identifying the error caused and later he donated it to a charity.

    However, Google did not make any comments on the instance. The one minute Google.com owner, Mr. Ved who is currently a student of MBA in a college of United States shared his experience on the professional website LinkedIn. He said that he was keeping an eye on the web domains that were related to Google for quite some time as he used to be an employee there for a period.

    How Mr. Ved Bought Google.com?

    On 29th September, he was surfing the website buying sites of Google. Eventually he noticed the sale sign for Google.com domain. To get the domain name he made the payment through credit card and then paid $12. Later he got the confirmation mails being the owner of Google.com. Instantly he got the messages as intended for administration team of Google.

    A cancellation message followed the instance that was sent by the website buying service illustrating that he could not conquest Google.com as it has already been registered by someone else and the payment made was refunded.

    Security team of Google gave ‘bug bounty’ to Mr. Ved to identify the fault of website buying system. The emails that Mr. Ved got at the time of being owner of Google.com have been passed on to the administration team.
    In response to the cash reward, Mr. Ved donated the cash reward to an education foundation of India. Consequentially, Google made the reward double.
