While sitting with the TV presenter Billy Bush in an interview, he confessed that ‘his first love’ was the 23 year old Good For You hitmaker.
They were couple since 2010 and broke up this year. The Canadian crooner asked him how he handled the break up.
To this Justin answered as- ‘It was really tough, I don’t know if I’m still over it yet. I think that I’m definitely in another place, and I think we have definitely went our separate ways. I love her and I want her to be awesome, but there are things that remind me of her.’
Justin- the What Do U Mean hitmaker, has always been open about his relationship with Selena Gomez. He even meant to take it to marriage earlier. The 44 year old TV show host also asked him- Did they meet so early?
At this question, Justin answered- ‘Yeah, I wrote a song and did not make the album, it was called- If I Would Have Met You In Five Years. How true is that? How many people go through life and end up meeting someone and it feels so right, but it is just the wrong time. So many people can relate to that.’
The relationship had made a huge impact on his life and Justin confessed about it and said that songs of his upcoming album, Purpose, are inspired by their previous relationship.
The couple is still in contact as they both admiited to be in touch with each other and Justin referred Selena as ‘someone I love dearly.’
