As WhatsApp will be based on UPI, in this privacy statement, all terms and conditions regarding the Use of UPI connected Banks are also mentioned.
Using HDFC UPI:
The users who want to use WhatsApp payment app and transfer money through HDFC bank should have their bank account linked with their mobile number which they are using on WhatsApp. The terms and conditions for the use of HDFC UPI facility can also be found in this privacy statement.
AXIS bank UPI:
Similar kind of terms and conditions are also applicable for the use Axis bank UPI facilitiy and transfering money through WhatsApp payment app. These terms and conditons for Axis bank UPI are also mentioned in the WhatsApp privacy statment.
All the top and popular online payment transfer apps like Google Pay, Paytm have a long list of supported banks but since WhatsApp payment is still under testing, so this list of banks is not very large, but as mentioned above we are expecting this list to be expanded to a handful number of supported banks.
Earlier WhatsApp was using name “Beta” for the testing version of this payment feature, but now in this udpated Privacy statement they have also removed this Word Beta.
